Morgan was off last weekend and the previous weekend on May 4th and 5th she raced with the ASCS Red River and ASCS Warrior Regions series…On Friday night at Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas she would get a 4th in her heat race and finish 7th in the Main….On Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Missouri she would again get a 4th in her heat and finish 16th with her first DNF of the season….When I asked her about it here is what Morgan had to say….
“I had a few DNF’s last year. It’s not bad luck, it happens to everyone. All of the nicely prepared race tracks (sarcasm) we have been to this year are killing us. I think we have only been to 2 smooth, slick race tracks; the rest have been wet and rough. Friday night was decent, finished 7th on a rough race track. Saturday night broke a crank. We are going to get it going in the right direction, but I’ve been in it long enough now to know that this crap happens, and we are still as good as we have always been.
Someone this good who is used to winning as she has done 23 previous times will get it going……
