Tyler Thompson Racing Recap….
Tyler on July 4th was in action at Cottage Grove Speedway with the Limited Sprints and would have a solid qualifying and heat race and was running 4th for most of the race when the car’s handling went away and ended 10th on the night…..it was then on to the 360 Western Sprint Tour Speedweek and Tyler would race the last 4 races after getting a motor from his new sponsor….Tyler started off strong at Willamette Speedway with a rubber down track he would get his first podium finishing 2nd to another 16 year-old Michael Kofoid….he did a great job with one of the best in the business John Carney from Texas in the Snow Racing #7 right on his tail and he held him off….it was then on to the tricky Sunset Speedway 1/4 mile he would learn alot but would end up 18th in the A Main…..the Tour would move on to Cottage Grove for the last two races of Speedweek and Tyler would make the A Main both nights with finishes of 23rd on Friday and a 13th on Saturday…..he was a good week to learn with the ISCS Speedweek coming up he got a chance to race all the tracks that will be part of that and will be ready for that week….On July 21st at Cottage Grove he would lead the first 22 laps of the Limited Sprints A Main only to be taken over by Jake Helsel and finish 2nd on the evening……up Next is this Friday and Saturday for 2-days of the ISCS Limited Sprint Tour….Friday June 27th at Willamette and on Saturday at Cottage Grove…Tyler rolls into Willamette 3rd in ISCS Points 18 points behind David Hibbard and Shane Forte…..
