Well its out a little late this week…but Morgan Turpen had a productive week this past Friday and Saturday Nights in Mississippi running with the USCS Regional Series Mid-South and Deep South Regions. On Friday she was part of something rare and special…with two women drivers on the podium of a 360 Sprint car race. It happen Friday Night at Hattisburg Speedway where ASCS National driver Wayne Johnson took the win, but Harli White was 2nd followed by Morgan to the finish line. Morgan won her heat for the 3rd time this season and had her best finish of the season to date. Racing again with many of the ASCS National drivers and Tony Stewart, Morgan was able to beat most of them. On Saturday would be a little different story as she was 6th in her heat and wound up 7th in the main at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the Frostbuster 150. It would be her 4th top 10 on the year out of four races. Her middle name should be consistency…..its rare over the last three years that she’s not in the top 10 and is mostly in the top 5 at every race she enters…..she proved it again this past weekend with a 3rd and 7th……till next time
2018 By the Number: 4 Races, 3 Top 5’s and 4 Top 10’s…and 1 Podium.
On Tap: She will be taking the next few weeks off before getting back in action near the end of the month….
